I've been busting my head trying to figure this out for quite some time.
With IE6 and NS7, no problems. I can simply code the HTML <img
height="100%"> and be done with it.
But NS4 and NS6 (and probably a couple of other IE and NS versions I can't
get to right now) don't want to play nice unless I hard code the image
height.
(Yes, I'm one of those who insists on still coding for NS4.)

I have having two problems with the <TD>, CSS, Firefox combination. I
would greatly appreciate any information on fixing them.
Firstly, none of the padding or margin values I apply to a <TD> have
any visual effect. Everything is fine in IE.
Secondly, I am trying to set the background-image of a particular <TD>
to an image, and that's not working either. Applying it to the parent
<TR> works, as does applying it to other <TD>s in the...

Hello,
I use VB.NET and have a series of linkbuttons that are inside individual
<td>s. Like this:
<td background="image.gif"><asp:linkbutton id="myID" runat="server"/></td>
I would like the background of the td to be different for the currently
selected linkbutton than for the other linkbuttons:

I have a table rendered with XSLT. The first column has a radio
button controls for user to make a selection for a particular row.
All the values in the remaining columns are all concated with a

radio button on that row is clicked. Each <TD> has a numeric ID so
that I can use it with document.getElementById().innerText method. I
use Javascript to assign some...

I have a horizontal navigation bar, which is a single row table containing
the right images. It "stretches" itself across the screen using a
penultimate td like this:
<td width="100%" background="images/nav_bar/nb_spacer.gif"> </td>
which works in all major browsers that I've tried, but doesn't validate. No
background attribute to the td tag, apparently.
What is the correct way to do this? A stylesheet entry with a

Okay - I'm spinning my wheels on this one... can someone help me figure out
how to programmatically populate a table cell as follows (from C#
code-behind)? I've tried using a Literal control in the TableCell, a
HyperLink control, and an Image, but I'm not getting the results I want.
Here's the source of what I'm after (retrieved by viewing the source of a
page I'm trying to emulate):
<td><a...

I'm a relatively slow response of table cells changing their

is fine (fast) in Firefox. Why? The code is below. Sorry about the

I am trying to center 2 images concentrically which are z-indexed to lay on top of each other making an image with a border from another image that has a transparent center. I need the images to be horizonally and vertically centered within a <TD> </TD> area. No matter what I do the two image just present one above the other, albeit centered, NOT on top of each other.
I originally did the entire page layout in TABLES until I found out I.E. 7...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
