I am hosting a lake party based on the Survivor theme. Only its not really a
party, we actually play games like volly ball, egg toss, ratf race etc. I
have created an online signup form and so far I am able to keep track of
team captains, and team players. Now I want the players to be able to Pay
before the system actually ads them to the team. (Right now they just get
added) The other trick is that I will no doubt have people that will...

After working in c# for a year, the only conclusion I can come to is
that I wish I knew c.
All I need is Linux, the gnu c compiler and I can do anything.
Web services are just open sockets hooked up to interfaces.
The Gtk is more than enough gui.

Yet about the code posted at
<http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.javascript/browse_frm/thread/bf33c7bbb9f699f9/0336cb59fb5920c5>
I just noticed another thing I did not notice last year (besides my
interface bug :-)
I looks like in Firefox window.confirm does not put setTimeout
"threads" on sleep. Script keeps executing as never nothing. I presume
(did not test yet) that window.alert / window.prompt do the same.

Hi,
I'm hoping for a reason I'm wrong or an alternate solution...
I'd like to be able to dynamically include some javascript files. This
is like scriptaculous.js library but their solution is broken in
Firefox 1.5.0.1 on OS X. What happens with the Scriptaculous library is
this
In the html document the author only has to include one line

I have a cgi program which outputs a fairly hefty amount of
html/javascript for doing a complex slide show sorta thing in a variety
of areas in the browser. I accomplish this by creating a series of
iframes and populating each iframe which its own copy of the code and a
list of items to display. It previously had it working tickety-boo
with both IE 6 and Firefox. I've had to concentrate on adding new
features to the IE side and am now...

Hi,

I've searched everywhere and put some code together but I still have problems.
I want to be able to map controls of the media player to images on the page
ie - when user clicks play image - song plays. I can currently get it working in IE but I can't get it to work in Firefox.
Problems:
1. The buttons (image buttons)...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
