Sorry, but you can't expect to put up a test post in any group other
than alt.test, which is there for that purpose, without getting a nasty
reply. Also it makes you come off as a fool since it means you've
refused to take any time to understand usenet before you posted.

Do it anywhere else and you'll get a nasty response and that's if you
are lucky. Just a fact of usenet life which you ignore at your peril.

Newsnet is not the web, and it is not email. It is it's own medoum with
it's own rules and conventions and if you want to use it you are
expected to learn these conventions and rules, or suffer consequences of
various kinds, the least harmful being the nasty public response.

Usenet, not "newsnet", of course.

Many of the inhabitants of various newsfroups spend more time than is
healthy in them. They consider them to be their homes, and like
visitors to behave, as you might expect a visitor to your home to do.

I make no judgement as to whether or not this is reasonable...

Hi all, I know this is easy for you guys but I am not a VB developer. My boss just wanted me to generate a mapping of all the queries in our Access DB. So I managed to create some subroutines to get the queries. I just need now to parse the SQL string and get the field names. Then import it to Excel. Input: Select field1, field2 FROM Table1

Hi, I previously asked for suggestions on teaching testing in C++. Based on some of the replies I received I decided that best way to proceed would be to teach the students how they might write their own unit test framework, and then in a lab session see if I can get them to write their own. To give them an example I've created the following UTF class (with a simple test program following). I would welcome and suggestions on how anybody...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
