Wrapping/inlining block elements?

1 New Member
I have two block elements <div>...</div><div>...</div> that I want to sit on the same line when the browser window is large enough, and on seperate lines when the it's not. Just like how text wraps. But I can't figure out how to do this... can someone help?

While I have a very good feel for how inlining works, I fail to see how in the world inlining can work if the inlined function is not described "in place" in a header file, but rather defined in a separate source file (using the inline keyword), which gets linked in? Does inling work at all in such cases? If it does, can someone kindly...

Hi all, My main problems are::::::::: 1. Set a value within a block container that can be used and changed by subsequent templates/block-containers/tables etc.. 2. get/determine/find the setting that tell the process that the new top of the document region is now at the end of the last block-container used, this must be set in that last...

Hi: What rules govern the inlining of templated functions and templated class methods? It has always been my understanding that both templated functions and templated class methods were always expanded inline. Recently, I replaced an explicitly written function with one implemented using templates (and partial-template specialisation),...

I am trying to prevent a horizontal list from wrapping. Each list item is floated with "float: left". Currently I use an ugly hack. I set the width of the list to a large number which is guananteed greater than the total width of all items. Is there a way to accomplish this without my hack? It would be handy because I would like to read...

Hi Searching for a possibility to display some text with preserved white space and line breaks, but with long lines being wrapped, I found this CSS declaration, which I found helpful: pre { white-space: pre-wrap; /* css-3 */ white-space: -moz-pre-wrap; /* Mozilla, since 1999 */ white-space: -pre-wrap; /* Opera 4-6 */

I'm trying to put a border around a link when the mouse rolls over it. I've made an example below and left out the hover to keep it simple. In IE the example below draws a box arround the image OK, in Firefox the box drawn is one line of text in height. If I add any lines of text inside the A tag it borders each line of text individually. ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
