Here is a SIMPLE problem that I'm trying to solve.
It works in Netscape 6.2, but IE6 gives ""No such interface
supported."
Below are page1.htm and page2.htm .
In page1.htm, there are two dropdown lists. If you change the
selection of the left one (e.g. choose parentoption2), it
should open up page2.htm in a popup window.

HI...Here's my problem...I have a popup window that loads when i want it to,
but it's not sized properly. I've set the size, but it doesn't seem to
work. I've been on 8 different websites to find out what i'm doing wrong,
and so far it seems i'm doing it the right way. Here's my code...any
suggestions would be appreciated.
<script language="javascript">
<!--
window.open("256fx/index.htm", "", "height=400, width=600");

I have a site which uses popup windows as a convenience in filling out
forms - you choose some data on the popup, click OK, and it sets data on
the parent windows form. This works fine in all major browsers and
platforms.
However, on Mac IE (OS 9 or 10, all versions), there is one situation
where this fails. If the parent window was itself launched as a popup,
and the parent window's parent was from a different domain than the
popup,...

Hi,
I am doing a web based project for my graduation. I studied bit of java
for backend processesing and javascript for the client. Here is the
scenario.
In the FORM, I use INPUT TYPE=text VALUE=" " NAME=cat, and a gif next
to it. User will click on the icon to get a new window. In the new
window, the user selects a value from the pull down menu (created by
servlet from back end) and clicks OK. The value is passed back to the

I did a ton of searching to try and find a simple solution to this issue and finally wrote my own, which I am sharing with everyone. In my searching, I did find a very complete and robust solution at
http://weblogs.asp.net/asmith/archive/2003/09/15/27684.aspx
but it was far more complex then I needed. (I got lost trying to figure it all out). Therefore, here goes my simple "web dialog box with parent event handler fireing" solution.

child popup window? i have the following and all online documentation
*suggests* that it should work but it does NOT:
// Parent window:
<script language="JavaScript">
function popup(url, name)
{
window.open(url, name, "width=800,height=600,scrollbars=yes");

I am working in ASP.NET 1.1 and I was wondering if it was possible to
have two different windows pass information between each other by the
click of say a button. In other words, let's say I have Window A and
Window B. A is the main application and opens a popup window called B.
I then have a button in B that needs to pass control back to Window A
with some data in the URL and then close itself. Is this possible? If
so.. how?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
