Where is imagedata? <img src="cid:image0 01.gif@01BF4C68 .ABA6D350"

Where does the imagedata get stored in following case?

<img src="cid:im**** ******@01BF4C68 .ABA6D350"

When I tried to save the gif file by right clicking the picture I got
it as .bmp.

What does the number 01BF4C68.ABA6D3 50 indicate?
How can I save the gif file on my harddisk?

Attached to the email.

Maybe it is a bitmap image with an odd filename. Maybe your email client
converts images to bitmaps when you try to save them.

David,

Thanks for reply.

It is an animated image, which has to be a "gif" file.
I think the image data is stored in the message file in encoded format.

Can someone tell me the way to save this image in gif format, please?

Thanks in advance in appriciation of your efforts.

We can't - it's entirely dependent on your email client, and we've no
idea what you're using.

The program "uudecode" might work.

Depends on your email client. (Or you could use one of the many find MIME
parsing modules over at http://search.cpan.org/ )

Unfortunately, these questions were never answered correctly. Sorry guys, but you don't know what you're talking about.

The SRC string was generated by MS Word. I may have received the same email, or a similar one. (With a cartoon guy bashing on the keyboard until he's nothing but a bloody stump? Freaking hillarious!)

Anyway, you can't copy the image as a .gif because it becomes a .bmp file, and no decoding programs I have tried are successfully able to retrieve the image. However, you can retrieve it using MS Word. Here's how:

1) Using Outlook, make sure MS Word is your default mail editor.
(Tools - Options - Mail Format - checkbox under Message Format section)
2) Reply to the email to get it opened in MS Word.
(You must reply or forward to get the embedded image properly selectable)
3) Click on the image once to select it. (The image will no longer appear animated, but that's ok.)
4) Drag and drop the image on the desktop, or right-drag and drop on the desktop and choose Create Active Desktop Images Here. (should be the default choice)
5) You will be told a .gif image will need to be created in order to place the active desktop image. Agree and place the image on the desktop, or wherever you want it.
6) You can now rename the image and it will be a proper .gif.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
