Do any browsers support the use of SVG files as background images
through CSS? I haven't been able to get it to work in IE6.

Hi. Someone, I'm sure, is going to laugh at me - but - is there an easier
way to create the following block diagram?
http://www.galtsvalley.com/on/rts.html (look at the sole figure on the page)
I'd paste the html here but it would be a mess. Basically, it's an "ascii"
text figure, with whitespace held together by entities.
It will not be helpful if someone tells me to use Adobe Illustrator. Way too
expensive. ;-)

I would like to create a script that can export ai-files to jpg-files
using the export function available in Adobe Illustrator. Can someone
tell me how to dispatch the illustrator com-object to make this
possible and possibly provide me with some tips on how to accomplish
this?!
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I'd like to do some basic graphics. For example, if you look at:
http://www.marshallaviationcenter.com
the banner graphics at the top that apparently used an image editor with
some fonts built in and the way the airplane pictures are faded around the
edges.

I'm uploading documents into a SQL Server Image field and using
Response.BinaryWrite() to download or view them in the browser. Some doc
types like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop files will open correctly, but
other like Word, Excel and Powerpoint are corrupt. Here is code fragment to
upload:
// Get file in byte array
int fileLen = this.TextBoxFileToUpload.PostedFile.ContentLength;

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
