Hello,
I am creating a page that features a large table with relative sizes,
where the images therein are also relative in size, as in the
following:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" >
<tr>
<td width="20%">
<p>blah blah blah</p>
</td>
<td width="60%"><im g src="images/blah.jpg" width="100%"> </td>
<td width="20%">
<p>blah blah blah</p>
</td>
</tr>
I want the images to appear in the right size no matter what the
resolution of the user's screen is, and no matter what the size of the
user's browser window is. I only set the width of the image itself to
100% because I want the dimensions to remain constant.
Interestingly, Firefox, Mozilla, & Netscape all display this page
exactly as I intended, but IE displays the image in its original size
no matter what. Any idea how I can fix that? 1 1436

You can try to create whatever you want sonny, but for as long as you
have not read the FAQ material available for Usenet in general, and for
this newsgroup especially, you may find yourself out of luck.
Sigh! It seems that Usenet is about to catch a big decease from
"bacillus ignorantis" induced by the crowd that do not have a decent
newsreader client at hand...

Here's my situation. I have a statically positioned table that has an image
in a cell. I also have some layers, defined by absolute-positioned DIVs for
some animation. Everything works until I scroll/resize. Then the image
"moves" on the screen but the animation doesn't. The net effect is that
their relative positioning changes. I'd like to have it be that they would
stay in the same relative position. I want to keep the image as an...

Hi, I'm trying to do something that has always been easy with tables -
namely use a three column layout, and above the main layout, show three
images - one on the absolute left, one on the absolute right, and one
in the middle. The one in the middle needs to be centered, as various
browsers display slightly differently.
However, using the CSS and code below, either the first image is not
shown (IE) or the right image is shown below...

I source an ascx page in an IFrame. The IFrame gets resized by its
containing table (width + height 100%). The contained page, though, does not
seem to have its contents recognize its own size. Is this a limitation of
relative sizing?

I am new to web design and I am looking for some advice on putting
images within paragraphs of text. I have determined that sizing the
height of my images to a given number of lines of text seems to work
well, however:
If for example I align the image to the left, I will then put a border
on the top, bottom, and right edges of my image which matches my
background, in order to provide aesthetically pleasing space between
the image and...

I followed along in Jeremy Keith's book "DOM Scripting" on how to make
a image viewer that changes on clicking links.
It is up for demo at: http://jojowebdesign.com/dom1.html
My question is how can I begin to have the tab image for articles go
from articles_current.gif to just articles.gif (turn off the
highlight) when another tab is clicked. And the tab that is clicked
has it's image switched to for example blogs_current.gif (turn on...

Hi -
So, I had this working perfectly, then had a small crash (the transmitter for my wireless mouse occassionally freaks out my MacBook Pro) and when I rebooted and opened up my file the two layered DIVs I had were no longer showing up correctly. I had this going fine for several hours -- it wasn't a happy accident I forgot to save. I'm totally mystified on this one.
Here's the summary: I want #container to be under #containerbranch, so...

I'm a CSS novice trying unsuccessfully to make three thumbnail images
display horizontally instead of vertically. I suspect I'm missing
something really stupid but I'll take the flak if someone could kindly
point me in the right direction (using words that the vicar's wife
would understand). The vertical thumbnails can be seen at the bottom of
this page: http://www.zen86793.zen.co.uk/gmga2008/index.html ... the
first image is in the right...

Hi!
This discussion may help other programmers get a better idea of how to save
uploaded images through a website.
Why? Well currently, I save 3 versions of every uploaded image on my own
little website:
1. Small: DOWNsize of original image to be used as a thumbnail.
2. Medium: DOWNsize of original image to be used as user avatars/icons in
forums or profiles.

Hello, I'm using tiny MCE plugin on my oscommerce and it is inserting my website URL when I use insert image function in the emails.
The goal is: Make it send the email with the URL http://mghospedagem.com/images/controlpanel.jpg
instead of
http://mghospedagem.comhttp://mghospedagem.com/images/controlpanel.jpg
As u see, there's the website URL before the image URL.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
