Wrong height of an image within a div in Mozilla Firebird

I have a problem with the following website
http://www.kindernest-beinghaus.de

I used css to make a hover effekt for the images:

- HTML Code:

<div id="menu_item" >
<div class="item">
<p>
<a href="ueber_uns .php"><img src="img/ueber_uns.gif"
width="100%" alt="Über uns"></a>
</p>
</div>
</div>

- CSS Code:

DIV.item :link
{
background: #FFF;
}

DIV.item :visited
{
background: #FFF;
}

DIV.item :hover
{
background: #FDFF7C;
}

In the Internet Explorer everything looks fine, but in Mozilla
Firebird, just one third of the background is white, but the hoover
effect is ok.

Does anyone can help me?

Thanks a lot

Hi all, I've written this little piece of code, which doesn't seem to work in Mozilla 1.5. I haven't tried it on other Gecko browsers, but I've found some indication that Netscape 6+ has the same problem. Internet Explorer 6 and Opera 7 have no problems with it. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC '-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN' 'http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd'> <script>document.write (window.history.length);</script>

I have a very basic table with a fixed height of 40 pixels that contains an image of 40 pixels height. Works on mozilla, forebird, konkeror, safari. The problem is that on IE6 PC, WinXP SR1, the cell is too high (around 2 or 3 pixels, as seen with the color background used to check the size) and is not set to the 40 pixels height. Thanks Here is the code :

Hi, I'm looking for a way to put a 1px solid border around the image in this link: <a href="some.html"><img src="some.gif"></a> Well, that, by itself, is simple. However, I would like to have a different border color for a mouse hover effect over the image. With Mozilla, I can simply specify img:hover {...}, but IE allows hover only for <a>. So now I'm looking for a way to set the border for my <a> element rather than the <img>, but...

I'm using my browser (Mozilla/5.0 Linux i686 Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7) to do some client-side image processing. I want to capture the sequence of coordinates a user clicks on in xxx.jpg in the following html <a href="#"><IMG SRC="xxx.jpg" ISMAP></a> and save these to a file for later handling. The coordinates appear on the bottom left of the window as I move the mouse, so I know they're being passed around somehow, but I haven't...

Hello, Mozilla (suite and Firefox) ignore the height and width attributes of <img> when the image itself is unavailable (404); only enough space is allocated for the alt text. Is this expected behavior for Standards mode? -- jmm dash list (at) sohnen-moe (dot) com (Remove .AXSPAMGN for email)

Okay, I am playing with submitting forms with Ajax. I am trying to adapt this script to my forms: http://www.captain.at/howto-ajax-form-post-get.php I have included my code at the bottom of this post. Basically, this will work correctly if I remove all non-form related tags from the form =eg span, div, but I want to format the form all pretty like so??? Right now, it only collects 2 parts of the form fields =sites &

Is it possible to find the size of the MDIClient area, excluding the space already used by docked controls? I have thought I could perhaps create a new control, set it's Dock property to Fill and see how big that is, but there must be a better way. I would have to do this in the Resize event TIA Phil.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
