I am using SQL 8 Personal edition with sp2 applied. I set the max
server memory to 32MB and leave the min server memory at 0. When my
application starts hitting the database hard the memory usage reported
through task manager peaks between 41-42MB. I've stopped and restarted
the MSSQLserver service and checked that the running values are what I
set them to be. Does anybody have any ideas as to why the sqlservr.exe
would be utilizing more...

Hi all, I want my application to log out the user after a specified
amount of time set by the user, for example:
If a user sets the time to 15 min, after logging in and 15 min have
passed the user will be logged out and redirected to the login page
again.
Any Ideas??

have a several PCs running WinXP SP2 and W2k SP2 latest patches. all have AMD
or Intel chips with at least 1 gig ram.
have Java applet that at times requires ~250 meg of ram. on some boxes it
runs in less than 1 min on other takes over 30 mins.
on ones with 30 mins i notice mem never goes over 150 meg ram usage in task
manager even when box has 600 meg free. on boxes with 1 min time it goes to
250 megs and finishes.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
