I noted a strange behavior in floated boxes.
Let's suppose you have a container box with a padding of x pixels.
Put, within this box, another box, with a margin of y pixels, floated
by the float: right property.
Perhaps you think that the horizontal distance between the boxes (the
inner box and the outer box) borders is equal to x + y.
It is equal to x + 2y instead !!!
This with IE. With Opera the distance is x + y as you think.
Do you note the same behavior?

Well known bug on IE. See http://www.positioniseverything.net/...ed-margin.html

I am trying to make a bunched of left-floated divs that will be
contained in a larger div. the floated divs all contain a left-floated
img and text of varying sizes. If I don't set a height (or height:auto)
the larger div doesn't seem to see the nested divs, and they spill out
the bottom.
IE seems to automatically resize the larger div as long as I set the
height to 100% or any pixel size.
Mozilla doesn't recognize the percent, and...

Using a technique I found here:

I created these "dialogue" boxes:

In IE6, the text does not wrap correctly around the image, which is
floated right. Any ideas / suggestions?

Hi!
I have multiple floating boxes inside a main box that has a fixed dimension. The floating boxes may vary in number and i want them to stay lined up along the top of the main box with a horizontal scrollbar to see those that are rendered outside the main box.. but since they are floated next to each other they wrap and i get a vertical scroll bar. i want any extras to float out the right side of the box and stay hidden. This example has...

How do I get columns displacement for a table or tables in Oracle? Is there a command for it?
I am thinking about to write a COBOL program to do this by read in the output of SQL/PLUS DESC TABLE-NAME and format its column length to get the displacement. But, I think some of you must have a better way to this. Please advise!
Thank you for you help!

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
