hello
this is absolutely ridiculous :) i have a simple form where if you
click the "main menu" command button it should ideally go to the main
menu . however, each time i click the menu command button i receive
an error message "the expression On Click you entered as an event
property setting produced the following error: user-defined type not
defined." i just don't understand when i actually used the wizard or

Hello,
I have an Access 2000 database that I copied to a new computer with Access
2003. Access 2003 says the file is in Access 2000 file format. I made some
changes to the Access 2000 file code on the computer with Access 2003, and
compiled. I copied the file back to the Access 2000 machine and the file
runs, but the code is unviewable. Any ideas on why this happens?

several tables. I am planning to replace Access with Microsoft SQL
server for my back end, but continue to use Access for the front end.

Hi all,
I've read through the archives on this, and scoured the web, to little
avail.
There has to be a way to move custom menu bars (or menubars, or command
bars, or popup command bars, or whatever) from one database to another,
because it's an interface import option. I'm happy to slog through
coding it myself, but I need a few pointers. Anyone out there done
this, or found code templates for it? Seems like the CommandBar object

Anyone know how to rename the "Exit Access" command at the bottom of
the Office menu. I'd like to rename it to "Exit" as I had done in
previous versions of Access. I know I can disable it with
<commands>
<command idMso="FileExit" enabled="false"/>
</commands>
.... but what about renaming it?

Should I go about it in Access 2003 or 2007 ? Purchasing it either
for me or for my client is not a major consideration here ... what I'd
like to know is the stability, speed & ease of use of both the
products.
I believe Access 2007 has a new file format too and that it may be

Does anyone know a keyboard shortcut to switch between open tabs in Access 2007? (I'm not talking about the ribbon tabs.)
Seems that, unlike Access 2007, most every other Windows program uses ctrl+tab as the shortcut to switch between open tabs. Not sure why Access doesn't do this!
