Hi
I've been thinking of switching from ASP / MS-SQL Server to PHP/mySQL.
My one concern is how the reporting will work. In the MS world I used
Crystal Reports which had a nice editor and worked well for all types
of reports.
Can someone please recommend the preferred report generation solution
for PHP/mySQL ? Ideally something freeware / shareware and not too
expensive.

I am in process of designing a report generation application.
Now here is breif background about my workplace ......
my system admin is a big microsoft hater .... so does not allow any
microsoft technologies.
God knows how i am able to survive ... but anyway I have to come up with a
report generation application which will generate report on a daily basis.
I haven't started the design yet .... I was thinking of creating a console...

A client of mine wants to start generating some reports from their PHP /
MYSQL database.
They were previously gathering data from the screen and cutting and pasting
it into a Word document template. They now just want to generate it.
My initial thoughts are to just format the information in a table and then

i am not much expert in asp.net.
i am using crystal rpt for report generation. is any other report

i use push method to creat report, and it is working fine, when i
export that report to pdf or xls it generate an error like Logon
failure.
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Logon failed.

Hi all, I'm going crazy...
I've report with subreport.
I want simply move some objects on report and subreport according to
fields value. For example I want hide a label when a field is empty.
In *preview* I can hide or move objects on reports's event with VBA. I
can correctly know page number, fields value and I can hide or move
object. All perfect.

Combo box displays records from the database.
