I'm trying to set up a form with two panels divided by a Splitter control. I can make the Splitter work in the situations described in the documentation (Listbox or TreeView on left w/Dock set to Left, Panel on right of form w/ Dock set to Fill, Splitter between them set w/ Dock set to Left. Works as advertised. But... if I change to have two panels on the form one on the left with Dock set to Left, a panel on the right with Dock set to...

Greetings, My team and I would like to use Infragistics for both WinForm and WebForm development. From a technical perspective we see the benefits. The boss wants me to quantify ROI. The primary question I get is 'what does the Infragistic grid give me that the ASP.NET grid does not?' I get similar questions for the other Infragistic controls that are complements of existing WinForms and WebForm controls. For me to answer this...

Hi, I start a new thread about a discussion from yesterday (or for some of us this morning). It was a not so nice discussion about dynamically removing controls from a panel or what ever. It started by an example from me, that was far from complete and with typing errors, but basically it had the meaning to show that removing controls reversible was the nicest method. This was a lets say conclusion (but what is that in a newsgroup) in a...

In vs 2003 we were able to place a container (panel) on the bottom of a form, attach a splitter to the bottom, and place another container panel up top, set to fill. Then within the top panel, you could add two more panels, one docked to the left, attach a splitter to the left, then set the other panel to fill. This gives you one main top/bottom window with user resize capability, plus the ability to resize within the upper portion of...

Hi, I want to create an asp.net page with a tabpage. On the tabpage I want to use the WebDateChooser and WebDataInput controls of Infragistics. These 2 controls use a mask to enter a date and bankaccountnummber, so that no invalid date or bankaccountnumber can be inputted. I started out with the tabcontrol of infragistics. But I also want to use the atlas update panel, and this gives conflicts when used together with the infragistics...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
