Formula's results in a form update the table?

1 New Member
Hi

I have a database that I use for tracking ebay sales and profits.

My sales table has a form that contains the ebay fees calculation but it won't update the sales table with the results from the formula (formula listed below)

=IIf([Sale Price]>1000,(29.375+( ([Sale Price]-1000)*0.015)),I If([Sale Price]>75,(3.9375+( ([Sale Price]-75)*0.0275)),[Sale Price]*0.0525))

This formula is working in the form

The table already has a fulltext index and from there I can use the MySQL fulltext search query to get results as well as the relevancy score. The problem I have is that MySQL has a default setting whereby the minimum amount of characters is 4 for a search. Being that we're government and full of TLA (three-letter acronyms), that is not practical, and furthermore, the app I'm building must be fully portable, so having MySQL tweaked...

Hi, I'm trying to count field login totals for users which updates another field in another table. Which is the most efficient method? I don't want to use a standard query as it will take too long if there are 1000 users per company each with 1000 plus logins. I was thinking in terms of either a function, or a formula (using the built- in formula field within mssql).

Ok, here's my problem and I'm a first year webbie, so you'll have to bear with me. I'm converting some Access reports over to a .NET website. It's your typical Access cluster$#@$ (pardon my French). The report is essentially a single row with 10 columns. Each column holds data mostly independent of the other columns as shown here: col1 --data is pulled from table "x" col2 --data is pulled from table "y" col3 --data is pulled from table...

I am having conflicting results with two pieces of identical code. One is an insert, the other is an update to a db. The first code, which works, is this: Sub Add3_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Dim imgStream as Stream = Add3Image.PostedFile.InputStream Dim imgLen as Integer = Add3Image.PostedFile.ContentLength Dim imgType as String = Add3Image.PostedFile.ContentType If Not imgStream Is Nothing And imgLen > 0 And (imgType =

I've been trying to get this piece to work for a few hours, but have given up. I hope someone out there can help, I think the issue is relatively straightforward, but being a novice, I'm stumped. Below you will find the code I've written and the error that results. I'm hoping that someone can give me some direction as to what syntax or parameter is missing from the code that is expected by VBA. Overview: I'm trying to copy calculated...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
