I have a client who wants to post his music on his website so that a viewer
can listen to but not download the file. I'm aware that its possible to
record anything that comes out of your sound card but not everyone knows
how to do that. A method that the average person doesn't know about will
be sufficient for him. What's the best way to do this? I haven't ruled
out Flash but I'd prefer not to use it.
Any help will be greatly...

I'm a musician who has a web site.
I'd like to provide visitors of my web site with the means of streaming
music off of my web site as one would if they were listening to a radio
station.
However, I don't want them to be able to download the songs that they
are listening to from my site.
What would the best means of accomplishing this?

When a user clicks on a linkbutton on a page, i would like to render a printer-friendly version of the asp.net page and download it as an html attachment to the browser. The code below works great, with a few exceptions:
1) IE displays the FIle Download dialog box twice. (You have to click the Open button twice)
2) the encoding of the page is set to Western European (Windows) versus UTF-8.
#1 above is just a pain.
#2 above results in...

I'm hoping someone can help with this problem; I've seen only a handful of
postings related to it, but with no clear resolution.
I have an ASP.NET 1.1 page that downloads requested files via the
"Response.BinaryWrite(...)" method. The problem is that the page is
dynamically built, and after the download completes all javascript functions
suddenly break or exhibit unpredictable behavior.
I've traced the issue down the use of the...

Here is a chance for you to make my developers look bad.
I have hired these guys to development my website which, in part, has music demos available to my users. These demos must include the entire piece with a spoiler in the background so users can not record them freely. The files must be secure! My original request was to have them build an application that merged the two files (spoiler and original music) into a single mp3 file and have...

At the request from MacMan247, I am hereby posting the 'how I did it' to get the music from ShadowWraith.
Here's what I did. Turns out that the music is stored in MOD format inside the ShadowWraith Music file's resource fork.
You can download a copy of ShadowWraith here:
http://mac.the-underdogs.info/index.php?show=game&id=1282
What you'll want to do is open the music file using a resource fork editor, such as Rezilla. You'll know...

Hi All,
Is there any way other than frames to play music in the background of
the website without restart while navigating to different pages of the
website.
Because, frames will affect the SEO.
Is it possible to achieve it via cookies/sessions?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
