What version of OS? Most *nix-based boxes will accept shell scripts, though I've never tried one on an Apple. I would also think that if you have a compiler installed, you could create small scripts in any language you the compiler will support...

i have OS10 but apple scripts is very different form VB or C++ its very different, i only know how to open a app thats all i know thats why i was asking to see if any one knows apple script. i'll give you an example of code for apple script:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1.  tell application "iTunes"
  2.             activate
  3. end tell

Yeah. If you couldn't tell, I'm not an Apple person myself, but I'm sure that others on here are, or that you could do workarounds - like having a C++ script that said something like 'system("./usr/bin/iTunes");.

Of course that doesn't help you if you're actually trying to learn to script for OS10...

yea thats wat i'm trying to do script for OS 10 but thats ok theres got to be some one out there that knows but thanks anyways.
