Welcome to The Scripts!

First you have to decide why you want users to register, because on that answer depends what you must register.

Reasons could be: you want to
  1. limit access to the inner vaults of your website
  2. send out (ir)regular newsletters via email
  3. be able to send out (paper) mailings
  4. ship goods to a postal address
  5. receive payments over the web via Paypal/creditcard
  6. simple curiosity
1 and 2 require a (confirmed) email address and password only.
3 and 4 also require a real name and postal address
5 also requires cc information

Since you probably want to go all the way (i.e. option 5) I suggest you have a look at this link PHP Login System with Admin features .

Good luck!

I'm trying to use RegisterStartupScript. I am making a call to it in Page_Load...and nothing shows up. Well that not's entirely true. Half the pages I've put it on do work properly, but the other half just don't work at all. Nothing shows up at all. How can I debug this? What are possible causes? Thanks,

I'm really new to the whole networking side of things, so I don't know the backend very well.
