I realsie that is a very general question as one thing does not directly relate to the other. My issue is that I am ditching coldfusion due to there being next to no work for it, and I am thinking of taking on python as a second language to java in the hope of improving my resume.

I'm running DB2 v8.1 FP5 on a Server with 2 physical processors (4 virtual)
and am wondering if there is a way to configure DB2 to use more processor.
Right now I'm running a delete query to delete around 4 million records. It
is only using 5% - 25% of the processor (mostly the lower end with some
spikes). This system, for the most part, is strictly used as a database
server so I'd like to be able to set it so that DB2 can use at least...

S**t for brains strikes again!
Why did I do that? When I met the clients and at some point they vaguely
asked whether eventually would it be possible to have some people who could
read the data and some who couldn't but that it wasn't important right now.
And I said, 'sure, we can do that later'.
So now I've developed an app without any thought to security and am trying
to apply it afterwards. Doh!, doh! and triple doh!

I am having a heckuva time debugging this, or determining why my page is
behaving this way.
I have a search form, that when completed, returns a datagrid. When the user
selects a row (normal selectcommand button), i assign some session variables
and perform a rediect to a "more information" page. Neither page is using
Output Caching.
On the more information page, a button reads "new search". this clears the
session variables i set in...

If I have an application that I send out to users, and the application
interacts with the database (behind the scenes, no direct sql creation by the
users)....do webservices make the app more secure? I always thought of
webservices as just a good way to allow users to have an API for them to
interact with the database, but are webservices useful if the user never
really knows that they are there?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
