Image resizing

1 New Member
Hi everyone.

My name is Bob, i run a stock photography site, (BlueMoonStock. com).
I am looking for a program that can resize Jpegs images in a batch process. The trick is I need it to figure out which dimension is the longest and make the image to a specified height or width with out me having to separate the verticals from the horizontals. The softwear needs to be able to process thousands on images at a time and resize them to fit into a pre designed box size on our web site (the comp size on our web site).
I would appreciate any leads you can give me. I work on a Mac OSX.

Thanks

I don't know if my reply is the one you want, but I'll give it a try. Process could be:

1. pass required max width and height to this routine
2. Do until last image processed:
a. read size of image and calculate shrink percentage for both horizontal and vertical sizes to keep same hor/vert ratio as original
b. re-size the image to new proportions
c. save the resized image to ?
I don't exactly know how to batch process this, but if you mean: start and it runs without user interaction, that can be done.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
