Javascript Combo box not updating in IE on a VNC

1 New Member
hi,

I have two combo boxes in a form. Functionality is such that selecting a value from the first combo box changes the value in the second combo box. Now this works fine in a normal computer with win2k3 but on a VNC, the second combo box does not get updated when i select the value from the first combo box. When i select another value from the combo box, the option of second com box ghanges to the one that should have been seleted when the previous value of first combo box was seleted. In short, selecting (not double clicking) a value twice from the first combo box, finally shows the correct option in the second combo box.

Please tell me why does this work correctly in normal computer and why this does not work correctly in a VNC?

Hello All, I was wondering if it is at all possible to have a single combo box update multiple fields in a single record. For example I have created an Employee Info form, and in that form there's a combo box (called "DirectorName") that contains the Directors Info that is connected to a table called "tblDirector" that has the Director's First Name, Last Name, and Director ID. Now all three fields appear in the one combo box (which the...

I have been searching the archives in an effort to discover how to derive a dual use of a single combo box - so far no go. I found the piece below which pretty much represents the usage. To summarize: The cboKeyword box on the frmCustomer looks up Keywords from a separate table that have just a list of keywords and a KeyID number. The bound column is tied to the autonumber and is saved in the frmCustomer table. The keywords appear in the...

Am using a nested continuous bound subform to add multiple records to the underlying table. One of the fields is based on a limit to list combo box. Any suggestions on best way to progressively update the combo box query so that for each new record being entered the combo box list excludes items in the combo box list previously selected. Aim is to prevent user from selecting the same combo list item more than once if the user has already...

It has been a while since I have done anything on MS Access and I seem to be a bit rusty. I hope someone could help me solve my issue. I have a form that has multiple combo boxes on it. Each box has 4 possible answers to a question. Each of the 4 possible answers is also assigned a value: answer 1 is worth 1 point, answer 2 is worth 2 points.... What I need to do now is add togethor the points of all the combo boxes. So far I have given...

Hello all, First I'd like to apologize...This post was meant to be put in my previous post, but I tried many times without success to reply within my previous post. Now here goes... I have a main form (RD Form) with 4 combo boxes (i.e. cbo1, cbo2, etc) and a subdatasheet (the subform...let's call it subInfo) below the combo boxes on the RD Form. Hi, I know there are various answers to this problem available on the web but none of them seem to work for me. I am using Access 2003 to make a form to look up data from a table. I have so far created three combo boxes that cascade down from Name to Project to Date and when this has been chosen I have four textbox fields I want to display based on this selection. I tried linking the last combo box comboDate to update these fields after...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
