How do I subscribe?!

3 New Member
Hi,

I'm really new here. I just posted to a thread, but that was before I updated my options to automatically subscribe to threads I responded to. I see no other way to subscribe to a thread. Does anyone need a little extra "good karma"?

Thanks,

JT

I think if you go back to the post you want to subscribe to and edit it, then it will give you the option to subscribe at the bottom.

I'll try that. I think now if I just reply myself, I'll get subscribed, but that seems unnecessary. I didn't see any subscribe options anywhere.

Again, thanks.

JFTML,

Thanks for the heads up, seems like we accidently removed the option during a design change. Working on getting it back in there.

Hello... I wrote a simple subscribe script that when a user completes the subscription form he gets added in the database and then he receives an e-mail where he/she clicks on the follow link : <a href=www.mysite.com?confirm&subscribers_id=mysql_insert_id($rs_subscriber_id)>Confirm</a> and gets added in the newsletter subscribers.

I hope this is easy, First, I simply must not override MyMethod as shown in the sample code - that is an unbreakable requirement. The purpose of the event is to allow me to extend MyMethod inside the derived class, within MyMethod's transaction and without overloading it. The event subscription in the base is because I get a null exception without it; I don't want to subscribe to it in the base. The event handler in the base is...

Hi, I have a newsletter subscribe page. A user enters email address and clicks Subscribe button. That email address is added to database. Say this is a career newsletter. Is it possible to create an intelligent system that will work such a way that every time a new job is added on the website, a newsletter is sent to all the email address that are currently in the database. I guess this is possible if one has a CMS (Content Management...

Hello, I am unable to get on many of the postgresql mailing lists. I usually get this message back with no attachment and no email comes afterwards with a confirmation. I've tried this over and over on multiple lists. After a while I was able to get on pgsql-admin...but it took a few tries. It's been a couple days now, so I'm assuming majordomo has had time to process my request.

''' event.py An event manager using publish/subscribe, and weakrefs. Any function can publish any event without registering it first, and any object can register interest in any event, even if it doesn't exist yet. The event manager uses weakrefs, so lists of listeners won't stop them

Hello, all. Does anyone know of documentation about implementing a publish- subscribe model between a .NET Web service provide and a Java service consumer? I have this problem I am trying to solve, and would greatly appreciate it if someone can tell me what the best solution would be for it. I have a .NET 2.0 (ASMX) webservice on a server on a dedicated hosting server, and several clients in different cities running linux servers

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
