I'm trying to determine which user has locked a given record from VB6.
I know I can use sp_lock and sp_who, and match up the data to determine
which users have locked records in my database, however I haven't seen a way
to match the specific user to the specific record. What am I missing here?
Thanks!

I have created a database for a client and was told that it was to be a
one-user database. Well, you know the next statement ... now they want 3
people to be able to use the database. (FYI, I have never created a
database for multiusers. I've done some searching but not finding what I
want.)
I have split the database. In Tools, Options,...

Hi all,
I have a major problem with my ASP.NET website and it's SQL Server
2005 Express database, and I'm wondering if anyone could help me out
with it.
This site is on a webhost (WebHost4Life) and was running fine and
dandy, until I decided I needed to add some additional stored
procedures to the database.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Could someone please explain why I can't set the Subform control
Visible attribute to False as below?
The statement for the locked attributes work but not for the
visibility.
I have tried the visibility without the locked attribute in case of
interference.
I have also tried variations of the visibility statement...

First, a brief explanation of why this has happened. I purchased, what
I thought, was a fully functional program written in Access last year
from a local programmer. This program was to be used as my POS for an
online DVD store. It turns out that what the programmer actually gave
me was a "license" to use his software. This was not the...

It seems that I am locked out of my database. I am not an advanced ACCESS
user but did develop a fairly decent database that meets the needs of my job.
I set up security at the beginning when I really didn't know very much.
Here is what I can tell you;
The database has 3 users - "admin", "myself" and "planner"
I belong to the...

I have a db table that holds a list of ports. There is a column
in_use that is used as a flag for whether the port is currently in
use. When choosing a port the table is read and the first available
port with in_use = 0 is used, updated to in_use = 1, used, then
updated to in_use = 0. I am using MySQLdb and want to make sure I am
locking...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
