I am trying to get the name of a file with a specific extension (tmw)
from several different directories. The problem I am having is that
the program stops working on the second pass with an run time error
76. The paths are valid. I tested them and there is a file with the
extension specified.
Any help is appreciated

Hi,
I am trying to create a dynamic CSV file via
FileSystemObject.CreateTextFile. I have no problem creating the CSV
file normally but I would like to insert comments and VBScript into
the coding.
Normally, the file would look something like this:
Set filesys = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Set filetxt = filesys.CreateTextFile("c:\somefile.txt", True)
filetxt.WriteLine "This is the first CSV value," &_

I'm not sure if this is a coding problem or an IIS settings problem.
I've enabled IIS on my local machine (Windows XP SP2) so I can do some ASP
development prior to rolling out my Web page to a hosting service like
Brinkster. I've never done that before.
I'm also trying to use the FileSystemObject to create a dynamic set of links
to all the HTML files within a folder, so that I don't have to keep adding
and removing links as my main...

Hi
Does anyone know of another way to check if a file exists without using the

I keep seeing that you can use the FileSystemObject in either VB script, or
Javascript on an aspx page.
I added a refrence to the scrrun.dll
I added importing namespaces for 'System.Object', 'Scripting',
'Scripting.FileSystemObject', and a few others
However, when I try to create the fso object I keep receiving an error.
'ActiveX component can't create object: 'Scripting.FileSystemObject'

This is a query to do with classic ASP (written through vbscript). I
apologise in advance to posting to an ASP.NET forum, but my newsserver
doesn't have any others listed... plus it's a permissions question which
may have some relevance to asp.net users.
I am trying to run an asp page on my local Windows 2000 machine which
creates a folder in the root directory of my site, but when I run the
page it
simply hangs when it gets to the...

I am trying to use the following ASP code to examine the file names in
a folder:
Dim fso, f, fl, s, fs
Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Set f = fso.GetFolder("C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MySite\subfolder")

For Each fl in fs

The original problem:
I need a procedure to import a csv file created by a third party
application into an Access database. This file contains fields which
may include commas, and when they do, Access confuses the commas for
field separators, so that a block of text which should all be in one
field ends up in two fields. I've seen by reading through this group
that this is a pretty common problem with csv files.
The solution I came up...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
