Okay, I've been scouring Google for hours looking for a solution to this
problem, but as of yet I can't find one.
XHTML Transitional seems to specify that I can no longer set a table's
height to 100% and vertically center content inside of it. Therefore,
I'm seeking a way, preferably in CSS to vertically center a site.
Here's more of a visual to what I have:

I made a vertical navbar using a background image for the buttons. When
I tested under FF or Opera, it looks fine, with the buttons touching
vertically. However, in IE6 the buttons are spaced apart vertically by
the amount of padding I used to vertically center the text on the
button. IE7 has vertical spacing also, but only a small amount.
Any suggestions on how to handle this difference?
To see the buttons with the padding,...

hey
I've been suffering from several float problems. I want a Title on the left to be aligned vertically with several links on the right. However with my code the Title is lower than the links. I've tried putting display: inline in every place but to no avail. Here is my code:<style type="text/css">
/* =INITIAL
/* Neutralize styling:
Elements we want to clean out entirely: */
html, form, fieldset, body {
margin: 0;

I have searched for "vertical stretch, align, etc." and have tried (and failed) with all of the solutions to stretch the "#nav vertical" div so that it streches to the height of the page. As you can see I simply set it to "height:800px;" - which looks bad on really short pages (http://www.coloradopedia.com/~newports/HoursOfOperation.html ) or really long ones (http://www.coloradopedia.com/~newports/BoardOfDirectors.html
Please help - on...

Hi- I am trying to center a web page. It seems like this should be very simple to do, but apparently it isn't my day. I have successfully centered the background by calling it in the css body tag:
body
{ font-family: Trebuchet MS, Arial;
cursor : default;
background:#000000 url("Images/long-template.jpg");
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-position: center;
background-attachment:scroll;
height: 1228px;

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
