I don't think the text file is caching. The information in the text file is
called upon manually by the user of the flash movie.
Odd that the variable in which the text is stored doesn't clear once the
page is revisited. Flash can't permanently store the information without
having Shared Objects set up. (And they are not set up) I don't understand
how the text file could be cached since the user manually requests the
information after...

A demo created by a person who has since left, runs fine on a local (Windows XP) system within flash player 8, but when we try to access it through the html version (index.html) on a local system or on our server, there is a breakdown when it tries to load .FLV files sequentially.

I have written this short program to empty out files. It works great
except that it truncates. My guess was that it was in the fopen mode
somewhere but I have played with that and the same results. Empty file of
zero bytes. If I have a 512 byte file of data, I want 512 bytes of '\0'.
Pardon the exit(1)'s. It's hort hand on my implementation for
exit(EXIT_FAILURE); The macro is defined on my implementation as 1.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
