hi, all I want to know how to put and get alpha-blended bitmap to or from clipboard. Although someone said using CF_DIBV5 and BITMAPV5HEADER to realize that. But I am not a professional programmer, I still don't how to do. Could someone show me a sample in C# related to this topic? JR

I'm using the System.Drawing.Bitmap class for loading a 32-bit bmp file which includes an alpha channel. The problem is, when it gets loaded (just using the Bitmap(string filename) constructor), it doesn't bother bringing the alpha along with it. All of the pixels just show "255" as their alpha value and Bitmap.IsAlphaPixelFormat() returns false. I know that the alpha does exist physically and has worked with this exact image in other...

Hi, I'm trying to save a bitmap file so I can print it later. I have Image.Save("sImage.bmp",System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp); The file sImage.bmp shows up in the bin\debug folder but when I try to print it (or open it), it's completely black. I know Image is the correct picture because when I immediately print it, it works. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! Melanie

So far i've not had much luck with this method. Bitmap.MakeTransparent(someColor); Makes the transparent colour either a non-transparent black (.bmp, jpg or .gif) or silver (.png) i've tried another solution with system.drawing making the selected color have a zero alpha setting (in the palette) but when the image is re-uploaded (saved as .gif) it shows no transparency. Does anyone else have any experience in doing this in ASP.NET, if so what...

I load a bitmap using GDI+ now, I want to collect all the pixel values, (in RGB but without the A component) onto a color array, say... dim btmp1(,) as color is there a method that can help me collect the pixel values as quickly as possible (like one row at a time)? what about setting (or changing) the pixel values back onto the bitmap?

I have a bitmap and make the color transparent; mybitmap.MakeTransparent(Color.Black) When I save it as a Icon, the black color is not transparent. However, if I save it as a bitmap then display it using windows explorer, the black color is in fact transparent. Could it be that the bitmap is not an alpha bitmap that causes the icon to not have the black color transparent? --

I'm writing an app that creates a bitmap of a map (land, trees, ocean). The resolution of the map is ~84x52 (it can change but will get no larger than 256x128). Since this is so small I resize it (using NearestNeighbor to retain the definition between squares) to a larger size. I have two QoS points: 1) I would like to keep the resizing fast enough to have it attached to the window Resize event; and 2) I would like to create an alpha...

Hello Experts, I'm creating a bitmap object like this: Bitmap myImage = new Bitmap(1024, 1024, System.Drawing.Imaging.PixelFormat.Format24bppRgb); But when I invoking the function myImage .MakeTransparent() (with or without parameters), the myImage.PixelFormat changes to Format32bppArgb. Why is that and how can I avoid it but still making the Bitmap transparent ?

Hi, I am using C# to a draw a graphic on a memory bitmap. I then extract the color information of every pixel of the bitmap. I do this with Bitmap.GetPixel(). The trouble I'm having is that I need Bitmap.GetPixel() to always return pure RGB values -- ones that always have an alpha value of 255. This is because I need to reproduce the graphic in a different environment that does not have alpha values. I realize I can get...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
