I'm not sure I understand completely.

You have the same flash menu on each html page, right? So that when you, like, press the "about" button in the flash menu and the url changes to "about.htm" --- then you want the flash menu to "know" that you are on the about page, so it can jump to its "about" label and show the "active" about button instead of starting from the beginning again.

Is that what you mean?

When working on a web site for my employer, I uncovered what appears to be an undocumented bug in Internet Explorer 5 & 6 for Windows in regard to a (perhaps uncommon?) integration of Flash scripting and CSS2 background imagery. I am hoping that someone out there can help me identify what steps I might take to remedy this situation. Perhaps it is something that Macromedia might be able to do something about, since getting IE fixed is...

Hello everyone, its me again. I have been stuck on this problem forever, and cannot find any documentation or any help to solve it. From what I have seen online, what I need to do should be pretty simple, but I am running into problems with everything I read or try. I have a flash movie inside of a vb.net application. That part works fine. The part that I am having problems with is passing information from the flash movie to the vb...

I'm trying to build an image gallery in Flash that extracts data from two external XML files using Actionscript. Currently I have one fully functional gallery that I'm satisfied with and would basically like to duplicate it in design, but use another XML file for the images, and have both galleries in the same scene. The tricky part is that I would like the second XML to essentially react to the first XML. For instance, if an image is...

Hi, I am having a problem with a published Flash Movie. I included a preloader and the whole file size of the .swf is only about 1MB. If I go to the movie, it pauses even before the preloader appears on the screen. I have the preloader located on frame 1 & 2 of the first scene. When I test the movie out of Flash and I view bandwidth and simulate a download, it shows that the movie is at Frame 0 for approximately 10 seconds. (I am...

My problem is that I'm wrestling to make the LoadMovie and UnloadMovie functions work for me. Here is the layout of my flash file: I've got several seperate flash files and I can jump to any one of them by pressing a specific key to load another flash file. Here is the code I'm using for this bit: Now when the next flash file is loaded, I use this bit of code to get rid of the previous flash file. Now this does work in getting...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
