Saving variable's value in the loaded .swf?

3 New Member
I have a project in VB 6.0 and actionscript. I enter the text in a form (in VB) and this text is passed to a .swf file, where it is animated and the result shown in the form. However if i want to save this .swf with the changes it is not saved. So, the variables passed don't retain value, once execution is over.

I have a menu made up of images where users can click an image to load the next page. I want each image to send a unique id number to the page the user loads. Based on this id number, the page that will be loaded will display something different. Since I'm not using a form to post data, I decided to save the id number as a session variable. The loaded page will read the variable when determining what to load. The problem I'm...

Hello, I am trying to import an image file into a form. This would be a persons picture saved in the same directory for every unique record. I don't have any problems making an action button to open the directory where the images are but I am having problems putting the images in the form and also linking a field in a table to this image. I would rather not have the images saved in access2000 but simple linked to the file in the directory...

Hello I'm developing a project by using access database and there is a table(Table1) and it has a field(ml_mik) this is the decimal field. I'm taking a value from windows form as a decimal variable(for example 12,3 or 12.3). After saving record, value(12,3 or 12.3) is saved as 123, not 12,3 or 12.3... I'm using ADO.NET for processes in the database.

I currently have a picture which is stored in a "System.Drawing.Image" variable and I want to save it as a bitmap file. I have tried 2 different approaches and both give me the following error: An unhandled exception of type 'System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException' occurred in system.drawing.dll Additional information: A generic error occurred in GDI+.

Hi, I used a dropdown control which is binded to a datagrid control. I passed the values to the dropdownlist from the database using a function as follows in the aspx itself. <asp:DropDownList ID="FldType_add" Runat="server" DataSource='< %#GetFieldType()%>' DataValueField="Type" DataTextField="Type" /> Oce the page is loaded all the values are added to the dropdown list. But when I thought of getting the selected value from the...

Weird. I have taken over responsibility for a legacy application, Access 2k3, split FE/BE. The client has reported a problem and I'm investigating. I didn't write the application. The AutoExec macro calls a function "InitApplication" which, in turn, calls a function to set the value of a global string variable

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
