I'm still trying to solve a problem I have experienced in Safari. This is my
third post on the subject. I'm hoping someone can shed some light.
The problem is that, in Safari, a table with no specified width inside a
containing div with a specified width seems to break out of that div when
margins are applied to the table.
It seems the table's width defaults to 100% of the parent div. But when I
apply left and right margins to the...

I have a layout that has a fixed size #container <div> with a shadow
running along the right side that encloses the content area. I would
like the shadow background to extend to the full height of the page,
not just the viewport. Here is some code:
html, body {
height: 100%;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;

In designing a new site for the local bridge club, I've stumbled upon a
problem with my css code. Interesting fact is that I copied the code from
another website an aquaintance did a few years back, and on that page it
displays correctly.
The front page stuff, for some strange reason I can't fathom, doesn't
display in the div-element I have for the contents of the page in Firefox
and Opera; other pages show up inside the correct div....

tag, it doesn't load or it displays an object expected error whenver
the function from the .js is called. Actually for repeated html im
using the external js, i mean the TOP, BOTTOM they are repeated in
every page, so i include them as functions in the external js and call
them. Why it doesn't work?

Didn't get answer with google and in my regular forum. Came across this site and posting here. Your help will be highly appreciated !
Our application have frames - MainNav, TaskNave and Content. When print button is clicked, it prints only the Content (obviously top.Content.focus() is in the code before window.print()). We were using windows 2000 & IE6 for years. Recently, our installation updated users machines with XP SP2. Now when print...

Hello all,
I have been wracking my brain over this issue for hours and think I have
determined that it isn't a java issue with the menu, but rather an issue
with the CSS of the element that contains it. Has anyone ever seen a
menu split like this before when you run the cursor over the menu items,
the submenu is all the way across the screen! And even better yet...if
you have, do you remember what you did to fix it??
My brain and my...

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to so many of you who
posted a response to my request for help about the problem with THE GAP
(see below?)!
Your suggestions were not only a solution to the problem, but they were
given in a way that encouraged further learning about the subject and
gave me more information that helped me move forward today.
I have actually gotten the page to work with the same style sheet for
ff, opera,...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
