Hi,

Can you elaborate more on the details. Your movie displays an image. Then movie with "please wait". What triggers the "please wait" movie? And also the movie with diffrerent images. Are you referring to a preloader?

Can anyone provide a quick tip on the html structure to link from a thumb to a movie poster and from there on to a QuickTime movie, all in one go, using EMBED? I have a number of (large) QuickTime movie files, each of them matched to a one-frame QuickTime movie poster of the same screen size and also to a much smaller JPEG thumb of the same image as the movie poster. I want to put the small thumbs into individual Table cells to serve...

Looking to find info/ libs on creating (small) video files. Basically what I'm looking for is a tutorial for constructing a short video... (nothing nasty: output from a transmission line simulation). I've been searching for a while now, and all I get is info for creation inside someone else's app. Rather useless for me. The sim needs to be web accessible. So I was thinking mpeg, quicktime, wmv, avi, etc.

I just found this amazing video puzzle game written with the pygame library, which promises to be infinite fun - but I can't get it to decode any video file I own, except the game's own example .mpg. All I have is lots and lots of useless .avi, .mp2, .wmv, and so on... Now, the pygame.Movie documentation says the Movie class can decode `MPEG movie files'. I know little about multimedia, but I thought divx/xvid video was a variant of...

Hi, I have a directory of movie files that I want users to be able to view and play in an Embedded media player. However I only want them to be able to access the movies from my asp.net page. How can I stop access to the files direct. I was thinking of the following possible solutions but each has their drawbacks. Write back to the response stream with the content type of movie and stream

I asked this question some time ago, and I received a reply, but I never followed up on the suggestion. That's why I'm posting again... I'm trying to add a Macromedia Flash movie to my C# windows project so that I can use it as a screensaver. I was told that the easiest way would be to add a WebBrowser control to my Windows Form and then have it load the Flash movie, but I'm not sure how to do this. I have VS.Net 2005. Also, since I plan...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
