I need to have a file (.mp3) looping on the background. How can i do this?
Place your .mp3 on a layer and then expand the layer until you see the end of the sound. Rename the layer to sound.
Select the layer (sound) and open properties.
Look for sync:
you will see two drop down boxes the first one shoud be Stream the next box should be Loop.
that's it.

I'm trying to write a page that allows me to change the background midi that's playing. I've been going crazy consulting Google Groups, and coming up with ingenious solutions, some of which kind of work in some situations. I'm quite prepared to implement a number of solutions simultaneously and browser-distinguish to select the right one, but it's hard even to find the criteria that decide what works in which browser. I'd be grateful...

I've embedded a midi file as background sound in my "index.html" which links to other pages on the site and I want the the same background sound to play on all pages "without interruption (and restarting)" when going to the other pages. Can anyone give me some insight as to how this can be done? Appreciate any help offered. TIA Peter

I want to play a repetitive sound, and have a user click on a button each time it plays (say 5-10 times) and measure how far off he is from the sound each time. The only way I know to play a sound in JS is bgsound, and I know how to loop and pause, so as to do the 1st part. I haven't figured out how to then test the delay in response. Since some of the responses may also be *before* the sound plays by some milliseconds, that also...

I need to play a .wav file from my program. I know how to do it from a regular desktop program but have no idea how to do it from asp.net. My application regularly plays short (4 seconds or less) wave files depending on the results of an input. I'm about to start the conversion from the normal fat client to an asp.net version and the playing of a wav file is esential. Any ideas? Rick Lederman www.soaringsoftware.com

I have just tried to attach a background sound with on/off button to my movie clip at frame 1 of the main Timeline. Flash Movie: the movie will keep on replaying until a viewer clicks a button. (frame 1 to 7) Problem: the background sound plays again on top of the ancient one. And as the movie starts again, one more piece will be played, and so on. I've tried to use different approach with action script but no luck, Please help.

I want to have a background music to my simple app and a buton which plays another sound, but when I press the button the sound from it interrupts the background sound. I tried with SoundPlayer and the native PlaySound function but the results were the same. Any ideas how to have a background music and a button sound without using DirectSound? Can you provide me some snippets?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
