Page Loading / background effect.

14 New Member
Hi

I've been looking around for sometime but can't seem to find any tutorials on page loading. i.e. when the elements ( buttons, pictures etc) wiz onto the screen from different places with noises etc, not a timeline preloader/loader.

Also I would like to achieve a similar effect to http://www.chalkmedia. co.uk/chalkmedia.htm how the pictures change on the left.

Can you please point me in the right direction.

Many Thanks in advance.

Regards

Ashley

For an IE-based offline WYSIWYG editor I'm developing, I have added javascript to insert images as table backgrounds and to set page background color. But I can't get any script to work for setting a page background image. I use a form with a button input type="file" for the user to select a page background image from his hard drive and a second button with onClick to launch this script: function backImg() {

We have a page that is loading very slow. There is not a lot of data, not a lot of users are connected at the same time and the page does not produce an error, so I am not sure where to start to look for why it is slowing down. I thought about the DB first and added NOLOCK to a couple of stored procedures that were being run, but with no effect. Can someone offer some tips on where to start looking or how I can begin to diagnose this...

Hello Folks, Been trying to widen my site's body from "779" to "1000" so it almost fills the window. IE 7 on windows XP just dismantles the pages and leaves wide gaps between the left column and the body with no change in size to the body width. FF is doing it right. Please let me know if this problem can be fixed, I am at my wit's end. I will also send more code if needs be. I have lots of other code but I will copy and paste the one I...

I've got a problem with a web page I'm working on. I have 4 modules - one of them has 2 tabs, two of them have 4 tabs. When the user clicks on the tabs, the content below them changes. However, when the user clicks on the tab (any tab), the browser goes back to the top of the page (I'm assuming it's refreshing, I'm not sure). I'm attaching the JS code below, along with the 2-tab version of the module and its accompanying CSS. Any help will be...

I found a script to crossfade between two images that works okay except that in the middle of a fade when both images have equal opacity, the combined images also are tinted by the page background color. Evidently the images are alpha-composited not only with each other, but by default with the background as well, creating an effect I definitely do not want. I demonstrate this at http://cpacker.org/afader in which I use a blue...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
