automatic navigational/email button

Hello
I am not that familiar with flash. But I have a director movie in which I would like to add a button or two where the user could input from their clipboard and have the button lock into that url or email.
So the user could pic a button and maybe option click on the button to paste the url or email address to the button and then lock into making that a fully functional button with that address from then on. Is this in anyway possible and might someone have an example of such a button

Not to sure if this will help you. but...
In Flash they have a section called Components (Control F7)
Make a new layer can call it buttons.
Click on button icon and drag it to your desktop. you can change the button
name by going to properties.
Click the Properites tag look for label and enter what you want (email).
Find the Behaviors section (Shift F3) Click and drag on the Plus sign (+)
A drop down menu will appear and select Web and select Go to web page.
Type in your email address. ie mailto:abc@scri pts.com for email
for http just type in your url....

that it test it by press Ctrl and enter .
