Defining additional keys in a joined logical file (DB2/400)

Hi.

I have two physical files on an iSeries (AS/400) box, from which I
would like to make a join logical file.

The files are in a master-detail setup, where the master table
contains:
- CompanyID
- ContractNo
- CustNo
- StartDate
- EndDate

The detail table contains:
- CompanyID
- ContractNo
- ArticleNo
- Price

I create a DDS source containing the relevant keywords such as JFILE,
JOIN, JFLD (for CompanyID and ContractNo) and list the fields of the
joined record.

My question is:
- I assume that the fields in JFLD automatically become keys; correct?
- How do I ensure, that CustNo is a 'key' in the joined file, so ex. a
SELECT is performed without severe performance penalties (JDUPSEQ is
only allowed for fields in the second table)?

Regards,

Mikkel Andersen
