/web/reg/www.ibm.com/developerworks ...

More than 24 hours without a file that DeveloperWorks mail refers to !!! I
think the webmaster should be fired :-)

Hello, I'm currently preparing for the exam 70-315. I'm using the Self-paced training kit "Developing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual C#.NET", but I find it rather difficult. I have programming experience in Lotus Notes and I have developped several 'basic' websites, but .NET and C# are totally new to me. I wonder if it is realistic to take the examen without actually have practical experience with Visual C#.NET.

DB2 version 8, fixpack 5. Aix 5.1.0.0 Using C for AIX compiler. I'm having a problem where I can create stored procedures but I'm getting -444 when I call them. It's a new environment for running SP's so I wrote a very simple procedure just to make sure everything is working. Below is the db2set output for the SQLROUTINE_COMPILE_COMMAND, stored procedure text, log file, and result of a call. I'm getting an error that says function...

Im going to be looking to do this exam fairly soon, but ive done a couple of practice tests and found them to be a bit tricky in as much as you have to REALLY READ the questions carefully else they trip you up. When you have four multi choice and each one has 8 lines of code, its like looking at those damn near identicle picture and spotting the difference. Running DB2 v7 UDB ("DB2 v7.1.0.93", "n031208" and "WR21333") on Windows XP, I am unable to find out why the "Build for Debug" option within Stored Procedure Builder is not enabled on Java stored procedures. It is enabled for SQL stored procedures. It is possible to "Build" and "Run" the Java SPs, it just isn't possible to click on the "Build for Debug" option. Thanks for any help in advance. Michael

I am trying to learn how to use stored procedures written in COBOL so I wrote 2 small programs to test it out: the stored procedure and the the calling program. I have no problems compiling them but when the calling program enters the SP, it either hangs or gives me sqlcode -1131. We are on AIX 5.2 (I think) running DB2 UDB ver 7.2 and MF COBOL 4.1. Below are the programs I wrote:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
