Using load/import with global temporary tables

1 New Member
Hi,

We use udb version 8.1 fixpack 11 under AIX 5.3

Is there a way to use load/import against temporary tables?

DB2 does not recognize session tables. Is there any workaround?

Using SQL against a DB2 table the 'with' key word is used to dynamically create a temporary table with an SQL statement that is retained for the duration of that SQL statement. What is the equivalent to the SQL 'with' using TSQL? If there is not one, what is the TSQL solution to creating a temporary table that is associated with an SQL statement? Examples would be appreciated. Thank you!!

I was unable to run the statement "CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE" on unix version of DB2, it gave the follwing error db2 => create global temporary table temp ( OGI_SYS_NR char(8) ) DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it returned: SQL0104N An unexpected token "create global temporary table temp ( OGI_S" was

Hi, we are currently implementing an application running on DB2 V7 on Z/OS using largely COBOL stored procedures, managed using WLM. Some of these stored procedures declared global temporary tables, which are declared with ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS to perform work on and then return these temporary tables to the client (which is a message driven EJB connecting via DB2 connect). The client reads the data in the result sets, creates some XML...

Hi! I am trying to import a query as a table from a MS Access database in a specified drive, path, and filename; my filenames and paths are being stored in a table for easy reconfiguration. Anybody done this before? Please let me know! Thanks, Sean BTW: I have learned that if I wanted to import a table, this is how it's done: DoCmd.TransferDatabase acImport, "microsoft access", "C:\Folder\file.mdb", acTable, "sourcetable",...

Hello there, I have a front end database that I have recently made very many changes to to allow off-line use. I keep copies of the databases on my hard drive and link to them rather than the live databases on the network. Is there a way, via code, when I get back in-house from being on the road to click a button, and select the backends I want to link to? I would want to delete all the current links and link to the "live"

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
