disable windows db2 user

Hi all,
I have an application and each user has a different db2 login user.
For db2 I have to define the users on Windows OS (2003)

Is there a way to disable those windows users but allow them to login
remotely to db2 ?

Thanks
Diego

Try these 3 easy steps:

1. Create local group "db2users";

2. Make each of your application users a member of this group; make sure
they are *not* members of group "users";

3. Make sure that in Local Security Policy - User Rights Assignment -
Policy "Allow log on locally" and "Allow log on through Terminal
Services" *does not* include group "db2users".

I have a datagrid that successfully allows editing and updating (with dataadapter.update command). I want the user to be able to edit the "text" in the datagrid, but i DON'T want the user to be able to DELETE rows. The OleDbCommandBuilder automatically creates the DELETE SQL statement. Is there any way I can disable it? If not, what approach should I be using? Thanks!

Is there a way to temporirly disable the X button (close) on a MODAL window in the web browser? We have cleanup code that needs to run after the user closes the modal window. This works fine if the user closes the window via a button I have placed on the page. If the user tries to close the window via the "X", then popup blockers potentially pervent then cleanup window from executing. Right now, clicking the X fires off the...

I need to disable the clipboard function in Windows XP. We are having a problem with users using CTRL+C in one program, then using CTRL+V in another. Specifically, they type their password into notepad, copy it to the clipboard, then paste it in another program. The other program runs on Windows XP. Obviously, the correct answer is to have the creators of the other program to disable pasting in a password field, but they are reluctant...

Hey everyone, New to this forum, but i search for answers here often. I have a c# windows application which embeds windows media player on the form. The application (biz rule) requires that the user plays the media file before continuing and saving the file. i would do this by insuring that the currentposition in the file being played is not = 0. However, if the user clicks the stop button in media player, the position goes to 0...

Hi everyone It is maybe a questions asked many times. I am trying to limite users' access to Database Windows to improve security. I am working on an Access Data Project in Access 2000 format as front end and SQL Server as backend. The ideas in my mind so far are: • Disable the F11 key • Disable “Unhind” function on “Window” on Menu bar, so users can’t go to Window-> Unhind to reopen the database window. • Disable the SHIFT key – I’ve...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
