Could it be that you have I/O contention? I would check that first.
Then I would check lock contention.

A lakh is not a measure commonly known perhaps if you could translate
into a base 10 or base 2 readers may have a better idea of the table
sizes involved.

Hello. Sorry for crossposting, but i didn't have a better idea as to where to post the question. I'm using certificates to sign and encrypt SOAP messages, using WSE in .Net. I want to do the following: 1) Generate a certificate to the system store. 2) Export the certificate from 1) to a file with only the public key, and then import the file as a certificate into the system store, but on another computer. 3) Export the certificate from...

Is there anybody out there who have any idea why EXPORT is relatively slower when putting the output file on a network drive - map drive from onother PC compared to putting it on my local PC drive (faster). Is there any workaround or tuning config that is available? Your help would be highly appreciated. maricel

Hello DB2 people, I'm having problems exporting >= 250000 lobs to IXF files with the LOBSINFILE option, using a legacy DB2 2.1 system on Win NT. If I don't specify a path for the lobs, defining more than 250 base names for the lobs leads to an error message something like "DB2 encountered an unexpected error when sending the query to the backend process" (I don't have the exact message at hand). It doesn't matter how short the base...

I'm doing some speed tests. I created a brand-new table, with just one "Long Integer" field. I'm testing adding 1000 records. If I use the "Export" feature in Access, it takes only a few seconds to export the 1000 records to a new table on the server. If I use my code below, it takes 100 secods (10 records per second). Can someone help me speed up my code? --- code --- Dim con As New ADODB.Connection

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
