Server Config
System : Sun E250 ( 2 hard disks - One is a mirror) 1 GB ram
OS : Solaris 7
Db2 : version 7.2
Running software raid for mirroring.
The production and failover servers are identical.

Ok W2K DB2 v8.1 fix pack 5.
On production I took a an online backup of production and copied it
over to my staging environment.
restored the production database on top of staging database redirect.
I copied over all the log files from production box to a temp
directory.
restore was complete with redirect and staging went into roll forward
pending.

I have a database............ i took an online
backup for tht.....
After tht mistakenly i dropped the database.......... now i dont have
the logs also....... now after i restore the database it will be in
rollforward pending state........ when i am rollforwarding it is saying
cannot rollforward........ can anyone tell me how to bring the database
back again........

DB2 LUW v8.2 FP 14 RHAS 2.1
I have a DB2 online DB backup that was done w/ the INCLUDE LOGS
option. I am interested in restoring that backup, and rolling
forward ONLY the logs contained in the backup and no more, then
bringing the DB online.
I do not want to use a userexit to try and retrieve additional
logs - I only want to roll forward the logs in the backup. (In

db2v9.1 fix pack 1 on sun solaris 2.10
every night we do an online backup on this system. (db2 & netbackup)
last night netbackup had a problem and the process died on the netbackup side
before the db2 backup completed. DB2 did not get the death notice and now it
says I can not do another backup because a backup is already in progress.
