I've just come up with an idea to make a small-time record of web
pages linking to other web pages. I don't want to download every page
on the internet (I'll leave google to do that). I just want to know if
anyone has any suggestions on how to acquire just the links from a web
page using python. This is for a cataloging purpose. Is there some
library or script out there that I haven't heard of?

Hi all,
We're looking at a vendor who uses the InterSystems Cache Database
Platform, but our IT department has zero experience with this system.
This software package will have a pivotal and mission critical roll in
our organization, so I'd like some comments on what others think of
this database platform.
Mainly I'm curious how easy/difficult it is to query a Cache Database,
and does it use standard SQL calls like Oracle and MS SQL? ...

Hi all,
I uninstalled db2 without dropping old instance. I have one database which i
want to access again through new db2 i installed.
I opted for fresh db2 directory while installing instead keeping old
directory.
I created new instance during installation of db2 which is different from
old one.
I tried catalog database for old database from new instance but did not able
to access database

The database market grew by 10.3 percent in 2004, fueled largely by hunger for business
intelligence and analytics, according to numbers released by the Gartner Group on Monday.
With 34.1 percent of the overall market, IBM holds a slim margin over its closest
competitor, Oracle Corp., which maintains 33.7 percent of the overall market. Microsoft
Corp. follows up with 20 percent of...

I've got a set of redundant marts that I'm trying to catalog on the
client side to allow us to do two things:
1. manually recatalog to point at either of the two fast marts
2. automatically failover to a third slow mart
The data marts are on db2 8.2.1, the client on db2 8.2.?
But I'm hitting a few roadblocks here - all suggestions are
appreciated. So, I've given our portal team (runs actuate) a pair of
scripts to switch the catalog...

Once again, just looking to see if my thinking is off base (there's that
naivete again) or if there's a better approach. The requirement is for users
to create MS Word documents that will eventually find their way into a
central directory on the server. Once they're in that place, I'm looking for
a way to 'catalog' them, in effect, extracting information from data fields
in each document, as well as the document's location as a URL, to...

Is there a straightfoward API in .NET that allows for inspection of a
database? That is, to look at the structure of the database, without
knowing anything in advance about it? For example, retrieving a list of
tables in the database.
Doing a little browsing in MSDN, I see that the abstract representation of
a database appears to be the DataSet class. I also see that I can use
"data adapter" classes (e.g. OdbcDataAdapter) to connect a...

Hello all,
I'm trying to run a small program on both PPC and CE devices.
I am calling SHGetAutoRunPath only when running on a PPC platform.
However, since this function depends on aygshell.dl, which doesn't
exist on the CE platform, the program does not run at all on the CE
platform.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
