Hello group,
I have a table with the next contents.
It lists data about : Who sent what kind of message at what time.
For the Level column: The highest level is Critical, the middle is Warning,
the lowest is Info.
Id Timestamp Level
1 12:00 Info
1 13:00 Warning

Guys,
I am giving users to upload files on my server. i have Symantec virus scan
on my server running in the background. Now would a user be able to upload
document with virus inside it or not provided the virus pattern files are
upto date.
Should i be worried about it?

If I bought one of these boxes/OS combos as a postgresql database server,
would postgresql be able to make the best use of it with a huge (e.g. 40GB)
database?
Box: HP ProLiant DL585, with 4 AMD64 CPUs and 64GB of RAM. (other

On a 3 column table, the PK consists of all 3 columns.
I have queries on the first two columns, as well as on the last two
columns. (Select * where column3=x and column2=y.)
I was hoping that this same pk index will suffice for the latter
(reverse-scan is on), but its doing a table scan.
Have I misinterpreted what a reverse-scan is?
Please advise. Thanks.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
