DB2 date display and formatting

Hi, I know there are many articles on this topic but none seem to solve my problem.
I have migrated a database (in US format) from SQL server 2005 to DB2 v9. The DB2 needs to work woth Australian date formatting (dd/mm/yyyy). I have tried using the BIND command on the database and it runs successfully but nothing seems to change. The display format in my Control Center is always mmm dd, yyyy (eg Aug 16, 2007) and I can't find where to change this anywhere. When I try entering Australian date format '16/10/2007' into the database I receieve errors because it doesn't know month 16 (of course!).
questions are:
1. How do I change the Control Center date display to dd/mm/yyyy?
2. How do I change the database date format also to dd/mm/yyyy?
Any help is appreciated.

I have scripts on a server that awhile back had new option/server packs installed (to accomodate security and net framework issues) and my classic asp date references "Date()" and "Now" will sometimes flip flop the formatting of the date from 10/3/2003 to 3/10/2003 (european mode). What would be a good way to use an include file to perhaps an asp.net date object, or where would I find a good reference to using an aspx file to calculate...

Hi there, My problem is the following: When I assign a custom formatted Date & Time to a Date variable it loses it’s formatting. Ex. 2005-06-07 15:46 now when I assign this to a variable of type Date or DateTime this becomes 2005/06/07 03:46:00 The same code work flawlessly on various other machines, thus I presume this is settings related. I know that the Time function in VB.NET reads from the system time, which you set in...

I'm storing a date/time into a SQL table of type datetime. I need it to be precise so the value is stored to the 1000th of a second. ie "insert into myTable mydate values ('08/05/2005 2:56:11.987'). This works fine...if you check the value in the table with query analyzer, it shows in there properly. Now, in my app, I'm executing the same query (that I used in QA) and storing tha in a dataview. If I break and watch the program, the...

Hello All, I have a date value that I pull from a .csv file. After reading the file and storing the values in an array the value of the date could be found in $array, for example. ============================================================= while (($data = fgetcsv($handle,5000, ",")) !== FALSE) { $mydate = $data; // here is the array value that holds the date }

Hi Everyone, I don't know if this is the correct forum but I thought i'd ask. I have an access DB with a function to automatically safe a table with fields i'm mail merging into MS Word. Word looks at the table from the Access Database. The export function all works, but the Date format is incorrect. I want it in Long format (Tuesday, 2, May, 2006) which is how it's stored in the table. When I open Word with the merged document, the...

I am trying to display dates in a spreadsheet, but the dates need to be in a format that will allow them to be sorted in Excel. The datatype in the SQL Server database is datetime. In this case, I need to display the date only, not the time. But I don't want to change the datatype in the database because the time is used in other places. So what I am doing is pulling it out of the database, then modifying it in ASP/VBScript by using the...

I have a gridview that's being populated from an access db query. The problem I'm having is that the date/time fields in access that are populating the gridview are showing both date and time, when the field should only be showing one or the other (date or time). Even on the back end of the database where the column properties are, I have chosen the smallest date/time formats. When the aspx page runs, it shows the date and time (ie:in a...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
