DB2 Stored Procedure from SQL Server 2005

Hi, I'm new at this so I could use some advice. I need to call 1 or
possible 2 DB2 z/os stored procedures from SQL Server 2005. What is
the best way to accomplish this? This also needs to run at least once
a day automatically.

Any advice is appreciated,
Borf

Hi, Borf:

I think your best bet is to post your question in the SQL Server
forum, if you've not already. Meantime, perhaps this posting will
help:

To do this I'm querying for certain stored procedures in the sysobjects table and if they are present, making the assumption the database will support the given feature. The problem is I can't find a certain stored procedure in the sysobjects table, even though I know it exists and can see other similar procedures using: select...

We've linked the server, and can read information using SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY (..........), but we can't find a suitable syntax for executing a procedure. Using SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY and passing the EXEC statement in a string gives a message about not returning any columns - not surprising as there aren't any, and trying to execute...

I am using VB.NET 2003 and SQL2000 database. I have a stored procedure called "INSERT_INTO_MYTABLE" that accepts 1 parameter (varchar(10)) and returns the identity column value from that table. Hello, I need to come up with a stored procedure that will allow me to read data from another database. The database I need to read the data from is a UniData residing on a Unix server. The stored procedure needs to reside on my sql 2005 server. The task is very simple in Access as we have ODBC connections set up to the UniData via Informix (or IBM) UniData ODBC drivers. I can easily combine my UniData and Sql Server tables from...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
