Remote database access within MB flow

2 New Member
hi,

Iam having a message flow within which iam calling the stored procedure which is remotely maintained.
I have connected to the remote database through my DB2 and tested the connection successfully.
But when I deployed and executed my Message flow at the point of calling the stored procedure it is giving an excepiton.
The exception is "The Procedure is unknown to the database and no definition could be found"
But the procedure is existing and is working fine when we test it independently on the local system.
Can anybody help me out in this matter.

Thanks in Advance

Hi. I would like to access my database outside of my company. I read many documents but they are all pertaining to accessing the database via ASP or some form of web application. Is there no single windows or linux application tht runs natively to access a remote SQL data base? Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!!

Hello: I'm doing some planning on a potential project with which I need some help. The database at the focus of this question is a MS Access database that is currently accessed by DAO from a local webserver. I need to access the same database remotely through TCP/IP. There will be potentially many transactions coming from both the web server and remotely, so the solution needs to keep the data safe in such an environment. However,...

Hello, Do some of you know some pretty good books or web tutorials on building databases, if any? By that I mean, when looking at a business, the sound way of choosing the proper fields and the proper way to group these fields to construct the tables that make up a database, while anticipating database growth. I have learned quite a bit of SQL (thanks to Chris Fehily's Visual Quickstart Guide SQL) but now I want to find some practical...

Is it possible to call a remote php script from within Access? I'm thinking something like: DoCMD... http://www.domain.com/scripts/dataquery.php DoCmd.OpenQuery "update_data", acNormal, acEdit ..... So the PHP script does something on the server database, then when a linked table is viewed within access, the data changes have been made?

I am at kind of a loss on how to design a certain database project I am working on. Basically, we have a proprietary program with a standard backend (though we do not have direct write access to the backend). What I am working on is a project to take certain data from the database, send it to certain vendors, process the data, and send it back to the proprietary program. Here is the basic flow as is supposed to happen: 1. Extract...

I am migrating from VB6/Access to Visual Basic and SQL Express. I have success writing test code on my local machine and am now setting up tests for deployment to a server. I have installed SQL Express on a Windows 2003 Server. I can connect and create databases on the Remote Server from my local machine using SQL Management Express, so I know Remote Access is working. However, I am unable to connect using a connection string within...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
