I've got an STL class (see below) with two functions to store and
retrieve data - msg structs.
The "Store" function when called will copy the received message
(depending on which message) into the appropriate array. For instance
if I receive a RCVD_MSG1, I'll copy into msg1 . Upon receipt of
the next RCVD_MSG1. I'll copy into msg1 .
The Retrieve function when called should retrieve the latest copy.
ie. msg1 or msg1 .

Hi Folks,
I have been given a CD with approx 130 .xls files (bean-counters!) that I
would like to import and merge to ONE table (tblTradeshow).
The XL files are *similarly*, but not identically structured, and the first
row does NOT contain field names.
Some (actually most) of the column names *are* the same in all of the
spreadsheets.

I'm using a laptop that has an access database i designed.
When I open the main form and start scrolling down the form page then scroll
up again, certain field heading labels vanish. They are visible when the
form is opened but when scrolling they disappear. However, when I enter data
in the field respective the the "vanished" label, the label heading
reappears. Then disappears when I move to the next field to enter data.
It seems to only...

I have a subform (that is linked to a table) in a blank form.
When the table is viewed in its subform state in the form, the headings are
not user friendly.
ie. CustN
I would want it to read in the subform heading column as Customer Name
without affecting the actually field heading in the table itself..... if
that makes sense.
Any suggestions?
thanks

Hello All!
I have to generate a checklist form as an input form in Access. A paper
form is taken out in the field and checked yes, no, OR n/a for each
item inspected. The problem I am having is this, the form should have a
main heading with the date, report no, and inspector. This information
should be entered only once in the form, but recorded for each item
inspected in the database table. Under the main heading there is
another...

Can anyone help me with the code to retrieve the name of the table that
a control on a form (that's built off a query) refers to?
For instance:
qryMfrsAndBrands is based on the tables: tblBrands and tblMfrs
formMfrsBrands is based on qryMfrsAndBrands
fieldBrandName is on the form and comes from tblBrands via
qryMfrsAndBrands.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
