DB2 migration utility ?

Is there a db2 tool or utility that will map Oracle structures and
data to DB2?
For instance, Microsoft has a tool called "Microsoft Sql Server
Migration Assistant for Oracle".
The tool basically maps structures from Oracle to Microsoft Sql
Server.

I was wondering if the same tool existed for DB2 that would make
migrating from Oracle easier.

Have a look on the IBM website for the Migration Toolkit.

It can be found at the following URL: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/migration/mtk/

Cheers,

There are tons of colums of floating point types (singe precion & double precision types) in the database and when extracted using BCP, it generates data only upto 17 digits....

Please bear with me, as I am a newbie in the world of databases and DB2. We are trying to migrate an application that binds to a DB2 database (Workgroup Edition, V6.1) from a server running Windows NT 4.0, to a new server running Windows 2000. Since DB2 V6.1 is no longer supported by IBM, I cannot even find anything to tell me if V6.1 is compatible with Windows 2000. Also, the new server will be running two hyperthreading processors vs,...

Some Sr. colleges and I have had an on going discussion relative to when and if C# will ever support 'true' multiple inheritance. Relevant to this, I wanted to query the C# community (the 'target' programming community herein) to get some community input and verify (or not) the following two statements. Few programmers (3 to7%) UNDERSTAND 'Strategic Functional Migration

Oracle has a migration utility that lets you convert an application in Access to Oracle forms. See <http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/ viewlets/apex_quicktour_viewlet.html> Does Microsoft have a similar utility, one that can convert Access forms and reports to .Net ? I am looking at migrating an application built in Access to a .Net web application real fast without having to go thru' the whole...

Cross Platform Migration An Unproblematic Approach (Windows-UNIX ) Oracle 10\11g The principal restriction on cross-platform transportable database is that the source and destination platform must share the same endian format. Redo log files and control files from the source database are not transported to destination database . New control files and redo log files are created for the new database during the transport process, and an ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
