Hi everyone
Description of the problem:
Using a PreparedStatement to write down an integer (int) plus a
timestamp for testing purposes. When read out again the integer looks
very different. We found that it was shifted three Bytes to the left,
i.e. 4 becomes hex 4000000 which is 67108864 in decimal base. This
means that the value written and the value read sometimes do not
match, which is of course inacceptable for all real world...

Hai,
I am trying to install IBM DB2 8.1 on Red Hat linux 8.0. My
machine is Intel XEON 64bit. The installation went well except for the
creation of tools catalog. When I tried to install the tools catalog
as a post installation task I get some java error.
$ db2 CREATE TOOLS CATALOG SYSTOOLS USE EXISTING
DATABASE TOOLSDB FORCE SQL22209N The DB2 Administration Server

Hello,
i have problems using sqlj in the following environment.
I use type 4 driver com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver and connect succesful to
8.1. db2-Database(DRDA)(Informational tokens are "DB2 v8.1.0.32",
"s031027", "MI00060", and FixPak "4".Product is installed at
"/opt/IBM/db2/V8.1"). It runs in an applicationcontainer (jdk1.4,
linux). I tried all other drivers without success.

Hi All,
I know that db2 V7.2 is no more supported and nor OS/2 is supported
anymore but I wonder if someone here can give me some help on this.
Platform: DB2 V7.2 FixPak 14
OS: OS/2 (actually ECS 1.2 latest fixpak)
I've migrated our production database from DB2 V5.2 to V7.2 GA for OS/2
which is the latest available for this platform. Migration succeded and
database works OK.

Is it true that there are no type 4 jdbc drivers to connect to a DB2
server v7.1? The DB2 server is hosted on ACF2 (OS/390). We would be
connecting from windows and solaris boxes.
If it is true, what are my options? Will I have to install db2 connect
