db2 8.1 fp13 on Linux for zSeries (64-bit)
Every invocation of db2pd except for the "-version" and "-osinfo"
options gives following message:
=============== =============== =========
Database Partition 0 -- Database FOO_DB -- Active
Changing data structure forced command termination.
=============== =============== =========
We've also running DB2 on AIX (same db2 level, but 32-bits), which has
no problems with db2pd.
Is anyone aware of any known issues with db2pd specifically for
zSeries and/or 64-bits?

I was looking for an explanation my self the other day. For me db2pd
works on most systems, but fails on one. I thought it had something to
do with HADR, but it might be that it is doing more work. Anyhow, here
is a link I found: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview...id=swg1JR24668

Thank you, sir!
This should be the one I'm hitting, as I am fairly sure we didn't have
db2pd problems before upgrading to fp13 a couple of weeks ago.
Looks like I've to upgrade soon again to fp14 or fp15.
Thanks again, Lennart.

Ooops, it does not apply for AIX:
"
"db2pd users on DB2 on non AIX platforms such as Windows, Linux.
"Problem first introduced at V8 FP13
"
Sorry
/Lennart
Nothing to be sorry for.
Our AIX servers are OK w.r.t. db2pd, it's the zLinux boxes that have
problems ...
Also, we didn't have problems before FP13, so this seems a perfect
fit.

Hi all,
I made a question several days before to describe my strange trouble of
mysqldump. But I still can't figour it out. Well, I just want to ask
another question whether I could just backup my databases by copying
the data folder to some place? Then if I meet some disaster, could I
just copy the backup folder back to recover my...

Hello,
Apologies if this has already been answered in here and I can't find
it, but can anyone help with this problem?
I hope the example code and comments state clearly enough what is
happening, but if not, please ask me for further information.
Thank in advance for any help.

I've a webservice with a string parameter.
I call this webservice passing a string that is 1129 chars length. On the

string.length property). String's contents seem be teh same, so I think
there is some encoding difference (is this possibile?). The problem is that
I sign...

As a newbie to C#, I am not sure what I can do about this. I would like to
do something like an Enumeration to use "constants" like Yes to indicate
true and No for false. But since there seems to be no underlying 0 or non-
zero for boolean values in C#, I am not sure how to handle this. Any
advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I'm not sure if "data hiding" is the correct term, but I'm trying to
emulate this object-oriented technique. I know C++ probably provides
much more than my example, but I'd just like some feedback to find out
if I've done anything wrong. Also, I am working on this for an
embedded environment, so if there are great inefficiencies with this...

Hello:
I have a bunch of related items that are either parents, children or

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
