check pending state

If I drop some constraints on a table by 'alter table..' query, does
this table go into check pending state? If no, then what is the way to
put this table into check pending state other than using the SET
INTEGRITY statement?

DROPing a constraint will not place the table in check pending.
Other that SET INTEGRITY (what's bad about it?) LOAD will place a table
into check pending if there are constraints presents (check, or RI).

During the night we replicate multiple tables from a production database to a test database. Due to a server disk space full condition occurring while replication was running, a tablespace was left in 'Load Pending' status. This tablespace has about 20 tables in it. I ran the load/terminate command and have now come to understand that the message 'SQL3508N Error in accessing a file or path of type "RESTART/TERMINATE INFO" during...

Folks - OpSys: RH Linux, AS3 DB: UDB 8.2.0 (FP7 Stinger) HW: 2 X-series We setup a HADR pair and they went into PEER state (after we backed-up the DB on primary and restored the DB on the standby). We created our tables and started importing thousands of rows into on the primary-side.

I'm building a server application which accepts socket connections and I ran into some problems. The socket is asynchronous and therefore uses the BeginXXX and EndXXX methods in the Socket class to receive data. I also use a ManualResetEvent to signal the main thread when data arrives. Here is the code I'm running: using System;

This is probably something simple but I've been trying for a while now and can't seem to get it. I'm loading a table from an IXF file with the following command 'load from D:/db_scripts/load_test/nlm.ixf of ixf modified by USEDEFAULTS method n (NOTIFY_LIST_ID,PUBLICATION_ID) insert into mediaadm.NOTIFY_LIST_MEMBERS' this works fine but afterwards the table goes into a 'check pending'

Hi. I'm trying to understand under which circumstances can a table go into check pending state 1. A parent table can go into this state if there are any dependant tables which are in a check pending state 2. During load operation, tables with non-identity generated columns can go into check pending state as well Are there any other scenarios which I have missed out? Thanks a lot !

I have some scripts that drop columns in DB2 9. This leaves the table in a REORG PENDING state: SQL0668N Operation not allowed for reason code "7" on table "tablename". SQLSTATE=57016 I want to write a script that finds all tables in this state and REORGs them, but I don't know how to generate a set of tables that are in this state: if I use REORGCHK_TB_STATS I will have to call it once for every table in the database. Is there an...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
